Intro
Sometimes, the best way to grow as a designer is to step outside your usual projects and experiment with something new. I wanted to push my skills further, exploring different design approaches while honing my animation abilities—so I created a concept project inspired by Ocean Ramsey, the renowned conservationist and free diver known for swimming with sharks.
My goal was to craft a visually striking and editorial-style website that balances elegance with informative storytelling. I designed several key pages, including the homepage, a course detail page, informational sections about marine conservation, a swim training page, and a dedicated space for selling her book. The challenge was to ensure the content remained engaging while maintaining a refined, immersive layout that felt premium yet approachable.
Once the design was complete, I wanted to take it a step further by incorporating motion. I animated key interactions and transitions to enhance the user experience and bring the design to life, using smooth, deliberate movements that reflect the fluidity of the ocean itself.
This project was not only a creative challenge but also an opportunity to refine my skills in editorial design, UI animation, and storytelling—all while working on a subject that genuinely fascinates me. It was a fun and rewarding experience that reminded me why I love experimenting with design.
