Intro
Working on the Bleecker Street Media project was a dream come true for me. I've always been a huge fan of their work and the incredible films they've produced over the years, like Breaking. As a passionate movie lover, I poured all my creativity into this project, striving to craft something that truly reflected the uniqueness of the studio.
Rather than following the conventional approach of other movie studio websites, I wanted to take a different direction—one that feels as distinctive as Bleecker Street itself. For the typography, I chose an elegant serif font for the copy, evoking the classic charm of old Hollywood scripts. To create contrast and modern balance, I paired it with a bold sans-serif font, giving the design a strong yet sophisticated feel. As a special touch, I incorporated a handwritten script font to highlight key moments, adding personality and warmth.
The layout thrives on whitespace and an editorial aesthetic, allowing the design to breathe and draw the viewer in. Beyond the visuals, I also crafted an interaction design concept to ensure a seamless and immersive user experience, giving a clear sense of how everything should feel in motion. To elevate the experience even further, I animated the website in a cinematic way—creating smooth, film-like transitions that mirror the storytelling essence of Bleecker Street. Every movement was designed to feel intentional, drawing inspiration from the pacing and flow of great cinema.
This project was a labor of love—blending my passion for design and cinema into a digital experience that honors the storytelling spirit of Bleecker Street Media.
